I See Skies of Blue...Raindrops Too

While we are still awaiting the last of the photographs from our shoot at the old Mill ruins, we came by a couple new ones last week. This is the point in our photo shoot when the RAIN started POURING out of the sky!!! We threw on our trench coats and got a little crazy...very swell times :)

On another note, school begins in less than a week so expect regular posts! I have some fun new clothes for this lovely Autumn season and am just awaiting a good ol' cold snap :) Lots of love and welcome new followers!

There's A Boat Dats Leavin' Soon...

Helllloooo "Blogging World"! It is I, your tardy blogging friend...Jessica! :)
So, remember when I confessed my love for all things vintage? Louis, Ella, dresses, hats, gloves, chivalry... remember? Well, here it is again! Proof in pictures. :)

My dearest friend Ellie is an aspiring photographer and asked me to model for a vintage inspired photo shoot. What she didn't know was that I had just completed a different vintage photo shoot with Cambria and our friend Abigail. So, we were faced with a challenge: Do a vintage photo shoot that is different than the one I just did...
Well. It would be an understatement to say we had a blast with this shoot. The set was Grandma's house...her place is seriously unreal (the grandma I have mentioned many times on this thing...),the clothes all belonged to her and all the props are authentic antiques. oh! One of the best parts... trying on her wedding dress. It fit mostly fit, just a tad too big in the chest region...story of my life. alas. :P
I was in Vintage Heaven. No. joke.

hmm...so, i can't post the rest of the pictures...so! Stay tuned!

Love,
Jess

Whispering Words of Wisdom

Hello there!! Jessica here! Remember meee?! To be honest, if it weren't for a certain lady named Caitlin, I would have forgotten about you!
Summer has just been so wonderful, and I haven't had time to take pictures of my outfits! Also, Cambria and I live 20 minutes away from each other... I know, worst. idea. ever. :( :(ho hum.
So, anyways.
We got to hang out and do a little thrifting... We actually made out with some good loot, which, if you play your cards right, you might get to see some of it. :)
Today's outfits were cute and easy. It's been hot outside, and we have been busy! Cambria just got back from a road trip down south, and I just got back from a weekend trip to Iowa, and then a day trip to Eau Claire, WI. Whew...lots of time spent in a car!! But, of course, the trips were worth it!
I love this dress. It's from the clearance rack at American Eagle, but it totally has a vintage feel. Love. It. :)

well, I need to get to sleep...morning comes much too quickly when one works at a coffee shop...
Love,
Jess

Travel Light (and Vintage)

Alright, here are some uploads from Phase 2 of our photo shoot...this time, pics of moi :) I happen to think these are the best pictures ever taken of me and I'm soooooo grateful to have them! I don't often like myself photographed.

And of course that darling suitcase of J's really adds a LOT of character! I'm thinking I'd like to do this whole vintage photo shoot thing again soon...now it's just to puzzle through outfit choices again!

Vintage Photo Shoot--Jessica Edition

Oh my gracious Aunt Betsy!!! I'm finally in a place where my internet speed will allow me to log into Blogger and make a post!!! I know it's been over a month and I'm incredibly sorry...but I couldn't log in (let alone upload) at home. Been so busy working my bookstore job, this is the first time I've been able to update while I have high-speed access :)

So Miss Jessica and I had a FABULOUS and DAH-LING photo shoot with Miss Abigail Stranz just last week...finally took out our favourite vintage ensembles and hit up an old mill museum downtown. Such swell times! We did the entire thing in the rain (brava!) but had a blast posing and feeling fine forties-fifties style :)

Here are a few of the Jessica photos I like best...mine will be posted tomorrow...and I'll wrap up with some double shots later on. Hope you enjoy!
