Lullaby and Goodnight

1. First of all...there will be some good pictures on this blog within the next week. Just sayin. Keep your eyes open.
2. Secondly...took these pictures last night just about as I tumbled into bed :D
3. Third...I bought wedding dress fabric this weekend!!! Just one step closer!!!

There's nothing like layering pearls. I have ivory, pink, brown, white...big, medium, small, seed...long, short, in-between, double-stranded. Mixing and matching them just takes any outfit to a new level, ya know?

Also...it is 20 below today...and I FROZE walking around campus in tights!!! So you just might see a bundled up, layered look up here tomorrow...

If You Are What You Say You Are

Made a hit with the fiance with this outfit...he couldn't get over my necklace and the colours in the plaid. He's always complimentary and sweet (I'm a blessed girl), but once in a while I'll put something on that really strikes his fancy. It's funny though, because I never know what he's going to like or dislike...and he's quite opinionated! Sometimes I'll put on an outfit that I think he'll be wild for and get no reaction but the ordinary...and then the next day I'll just throw something average together and he'll LOVE it! There is no rhyme or reason.

Do you have a favourite date night outfit? Or an outfit your significant other really loves?

I Cheated Myself

Actually, I have cheated myself...of a great photo opp. with the Fiancee today. I should have grabbed him after class and had him take a few quick shots outside our chapel. But I forgot. Therefore, you shall have just a couple snapshots. Alas. My poor public, hehe :D

This is just a quick post sans Jessica...cause she got CAST IN A THEATRE SHOW at school!!! I feel like a proud Mama. Can't wait to go see her onstage again.

If You Need Somewhere to Fall...

So...I have totally fallen in love with these pants. That's where I have fallen...into the perfect pair of dress pants! They fit sublimely, I love the vintage silhouette, and they are the exact right length with my heels :)

Not to mention they are that perfect shade of grey that works with browns, navy, black, white, and even brighter or richer colours. You can wear them so many ways!

Aaaaaaand these purple shoes. Let me tell you. They were $6 at Payless a couple years ago, and I've gotten well worth the wear out of them. They just add the perfect pop of colour, you know? I suppose I should wear more colour as a general rule :)

Winter Wedding

Today the roomies and I hit the road for a winter wonderland wedding. Although we didn't discuss outfits, we somehow ended up matching! Guess it's that weird telepathic communication thing you get going when you're practically sisters :)

This is the lovely bride...wish I had better shots of her dress, but she was one busy lady!!!

I totally forgot to pack a necklace to wear!!! I threw on some vintage t-straps and 30s-style black hair pins...but without the necklace, I didn't quite manage the antique look I was going for...sad day :(

Hello, Dah-ling: Classically Romantic

I wanted to share a little something extra special today, just to help ring in this first week of the New Year...*drum roll*
Classically Romantic!!!

This lovely Etsy shop has all of my favourite things...lace, wax seals, pearls, teacups, ribbons, Scottie dogs, envelopes, keys, bows, kitschy-cute fabric, and plenty of charms and flowers...you name it, it's part of Classically Romantic jewelry and accessories. The owner of this darling boutique is Anna, a college student and budding artist with a flair for vintage and fashion. I love the unique-ness of her pieces--there's something for everyone whether you want demure, elegant, kitschy, classic, romantic, cute, chic, or vintage!!! Plus, her descriptions are so adorable and fun to read :)

Take, for instance, this bookplate necklace (perfect for Valentine's Day, yes?):

Or how about this clever keyhole necklace a la Alice in Wonderland:

Or even this charming handmade fabric necklace:

Check Classically Romantic out on Etsy or Facebook...I'm sure you'll find something you love :)
