No Time Til It's Gone...

So this skirt is my last purchase made on Christmas gift cards...pretty good to make them last through January, yes?! I just love waiting til the post-holiday sales really give steep markdowns...like this skirt for $7. You just can't beat it...and a little waiting is TOTALLY worth getting three times as much clothing on just one gift card :)

I went to Coffee News tonight with the Fiance (my darling Drayton Wesley!)...and definitely just felt right at home. There is NOTHING better than going to one's favourite coffee shop, is there?! I mean, the coffee tasted wonderful, the smell was so relaxing and delightful, the people-watching is great...not to mention I really, really truly did get some homework done :)

On another note...let me introduce new readers to my favourite necklace. This little kitty is Wesley (yes, I let the Fiance name him), and he is just too cute for words. I wear him with everything. Just waiting for the point in my life when I've graduated and can get a REAL kitty :)

Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone...

Guess who's back?!
For those of you that are new to Two for Tea, I'm Jessica, the "two" in "Two for Tea".
Let me tell you, it feels good to be back.
Here is an update:

1.Cambria gave me this skirt because she didn't like how long it was (used to be floor length), and she thought she would never wear it. I had forgotten about it and stumbled upon it while cleaning out my closet (it's amazing what one can find in their closet!), and decided to finally hem it. Guess who is wishing they still had it?! :)

2. I'm sick of wearing boots. Don't get me wrong, I adore my leather riding boots, but they are my most practical shoe choice for the winter months, and frankly, I'm tired of them.

3. That shirt that looks like a Burberry, is in fact a real Burberry. I know. I found this guy at a garage sale this last summer for a whopping $4.

Anecdote: Last night Cambria and I were discussing our mutual love for Burberry (cologne, trench coats, scarves, button downs...) and she blurts out how one day she plans on owning a real Burberry trench coat one day, and when she does, she won't ever want to wear anything but her trench coat. Not even clothing (which is good, because she probably wouldn't be able to afford anything else!).
I'm mostly sure she was teasing...but one cannot be too certain. ;)

4. Did you see those vintage pictures from the last couple days?? Such a fun shoot! Cambria and I have such a fun time doing those...it's another form of acting for us...although the real reason we love it, is that we love any chance to play dress up! :)
Just want to throw out another shout out to my dearest friend Ellie(an avid reader of TFT, hi there honey!) (check out her blog here ) and read this post about her, just for kicks... here)

5. I JUST REALIZED THAT TODAY IS TWO FOR TEA'S ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY!!! WHOA.
A year ago we made this blog as an amusing thing to play with and another reason to procrastinate on our homework. Our first post wasn't even an outfit post check it out) and our first outfit post was...well, embarrassing. first post!) awkward. We quickly fell in love with posting and it has been such a fun thing for the two of us do together! And to think! Other people want to read it as well! Thank you so much for following and reading, you guys rock! :)
Anyways, Happy Birthday Two For Tea! Should be interesting to see where this next year takes us... stay tuned! :)

Speaking of birthdays...mine is just around the corner! I'm a Valentines baby, which is, in my opinion, the best holiday to have a birthday on (also, I share it with my fabulous grandma Dee-Dee) :)

Any ideas on how I should celebrate? (It's my 21st, but no drinking, please) :)

Love,
Jessica

Ask and It Shall Be Given

Here are a couple more shots from the photo session last weekend :) Outfit Two--we both went with dark bottoms and mustard-yellow sweaters, but mixed up the way we wore them. Gotta love the vintage props, yes?!

Awards, Round Two

I am pleased and rather flattered to announce that Two for Tea has just received our second blog award! Thanks to MinuteObsessions for awarding us with a Stylish Blogger Award!!!

Now for the "seven things" list...which I'm theme-ing to current obsessions:
1. I am currently obsessed with OneRepublic music...my playlists have OneRepublic every other song. I think my roommates might be a little tired of them.
2. My Amazon shopping cart currently contains 20 white ostrich plumes, 12 retro glass ice cream dishes, 100 yards of grey and black grosgrain ribbon, 36 floating tealight candles, and 2 antique wrought iron birdcages. I'm wedding shopping.
3. I just bought a SILKY SOFT boyfriend sweater with raw seaming/edging for $7 from H&M and I'm going to wear it the rest of the week because it's SILKY SOFT. Did I already say that?!
4. At the moment, I'm reading a fabulous mock vintage copy of F. Scott Fitzgerald's short stories. I adore him. I adore him.
5. I am currently reading Sidewalk Ready every single day...just because I think Kayley is amazingly adorable and inspiring.
6. My food of the week has been chicken noodle soup. Below-zero weather does that to ya, I guess.
7. And finally, Thomas Carlyle. I know, you probably have no idea who that is because I'm a total history FREAK. But seriously, he's fascinating. His philosophy of history rocked this world...he is the perfect representation of the religious climate in Victorian Britain...what an amazing writer...aaaaaand I think I should stop. Thanks for overlooking that.

P.s. I promised you amazing pics...and they will be up TOMORROW!!!

That Will Last Til the End

Just photos today, as I'm working madly on homework today! Wedding planning took over my Saturday so literature, science lab, New Testament history, and Thomas Carlyle in Victorian Britain have officially sacked my Sunday :(

I've picked out wedding music!!! The prelude will be "Claire de Lune" and the processional will be "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." The recessional will be Ella Fitzgerald's "Love Is Here To Stay." Since we're having a traditional church wedding, I have to pick one congregational hymn: either "Blest Be the Tie That Binds" or "O, the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus." Votes, please???

Also, if anybody has further suggestions for very soft romantic classical music for the prelude...let me know :)
