Happy (late...) Valentine's Day!!

Hello lovelies!
How was your Valentine's Day? Gosh, I just adore it...a day full of love, and cheesy messages, pink, and red, and sweethearts (never had one on Valentine's Day...but I would assume it would be something special! :) )
Also! Valentine's Day is DOUBLEY special! It's mine (Jessica) and my grandmother's birthday!

So, because it was Valentine's Day Cambria and I decided to dress like a Valentine and receive some interesting looks. But really? There is one day when you dress like this, so why not?
Cambria said I look like a piece of French mail, "mais oui?"

Love,
Jess

Weekend School

So this outfit definitely rocks the school look...quite unintended for a weekend...just happened...Does that mean school is weighing too much on my mind???

I think the only conclusion that can be drawn is YES, school rules my life right now...right down to my wardrobe! But in the end, if I'm happy with the result...I'll count it okay :) Besides, this put me in a homework mood.

On another note, these red tights are my new favourite pair. I got them on sale at H&M for $7 (cheap!), but even better they are patterned with HOUNDSTOOTH!!! Rocking awesome.

Your Love is Strong.

This is a really quick post that I'm doing before my class that starts in...6 minutes! Intro to Theater...what a drag.

Here's a question, If you could be doing anything at the moment, what on earth would it be???
Also, tell your best friend about Two for Tea. We're getting closer and closer to 100 followers and that's EXCITING! :)

**Hello again, I have more time now....Shall we continue with a brief discussion on the clothing? :)
Don't mind if I do!

Winter is so tricky...Today was the first day in a looonnng time when I didn't wear boots to class...and I thought my toesies were going to fall off my feet and run away. The poor things were so cold! Also, boots are more practical for icy sidewalks and what not.
I really wanted to wear this outfit with my grey wedge heels...but that would have probably been a very bad idea.
This skirt is great, and it's Cambria's :) I have the same one in navy and our roommate has it in olive....it's from H&M and was so cheap!
And the purple shirt... It was suggested I wear more purple as it goes well with my hair? So, here I am, wearing more purple, and loving it! It's just a fun color that brightens up a dreary day. :)
Hope your week is going swell!

Love,
Jess

Hello, Dah-ling--JUST ZIPPED

I would like to introduce you all to one of my new (and all time) favourite blogs...by the lovely Miss Chelsea Lane. Check her out!!!

1. What first inspired your love of fashion?

After I discovered Free People, I knew I wanted a career in fashion. I didn't get creative with my wardrobe until I was a junior in high school (before that? All Hollister and American Eagle). Then I got into studying the shows, noting trends, and recognizing designers. When Rachel Zoe came into my life, I knew I wanted to be a stylist!

2. If you could fulfill one dream for your blog, what would it be?

Since styling is kinda my direction, I really want to make at least one difference in someone's wardrobe--whether it's finding something that better fits their body, or inspiring them to do something they haven't done before with their clothes...all while discovering brands and designers they've never heard of to obsess over!

3. What are your five foremost fashion rules?

A) Obviously, there are no rules in fashion. (However, there are plenty of suggestions.)
B) Pay attention to proportion. If you're six feet tall, don't carry a clutch that only fits a lipstick and your phone. Likewise, if you're five feet tall, don't carry a big envelope clutch that could fit your kitchen sink.
C) Buy two of something you love!
D) Go thrift shopping and learn how to thrift (I'll be writing a post on this on my blog!). You will be honestly surprised at some of the treasures you can find.
E) Don't wear baggy sweatpants in public unless you're going to and from the gym to your car!

4. If you were to put together an outfit for me, what would you choose?
You ask, I answer!

Joie top, Marni skirt, Steve Madden pumps, Kate Spade orange bangle, Tinley Road sparkly bracelets, ASOS belt, Marc by Marc Jacobs stud earrings

5. What is your favourite fashion house and (briefly) why?  And what is your favourite clothing store and why?

I really love anything Miuccia Prada does, so Prada is definitely up there. I like Miu Miu for the quirky trends. Since I do most of my shopping online, I lllooovveee Piperlime. If I'm actually shopping in a store, I love Nordstrom for the experience/customer service and H&M for the classic + affordable pieces.

Thank you sooooo much Cambria!

No Time Til It's Gone...

So this skirt is my last purchase made on Christmas gift cards...pretty good to make them last through January, yes?! I just love waiting til the post-holiday sales really give steep markdowns...like this skirt for $7. You just can't beat it...and a little waiting is TOTALLY worth getting three times as much clothing on just one gift card :)

I went to Coffee News tonight with the Fiance (my darling Drayton Wesley!)...and definitely just felt right at home. There is NOTHING better than going to one's favourite coffee shop, is there?! I mean, the coffee tasted wonderful, the smell was so relaxing and delightful, the people-watching is great...not to mention I really, really truly did get some homework done :)

On another note...let me introduce new readers to my favourite necklace. This little kitty is Wesley (yes, I let the Fiance name him), and he is just too cute for words. I wear him with everything. Just waiting for the point in my life when I've graduated and can get a REAL kitty :)

Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone...

Guess who's back?!
For those of you that are new to Two for Tea, I'm Jessica, the "two" in "Two for Tea".
Let me tell you, it feels good to be back.
Here is an update:

1.Cambria gave me this skirt because she didn't like how long it was (used to be floor length), and she thought she would never wear it. I had forgotten about it and stumbled upon it while cleaning out my closet (it's amazing what one can find in their closet!), and decided to finally hem it. Guess who is wishing they still had it?! :)

2. I'm sick of wearing boots. Don't get me wrong, I adore my leather riding boots, but they are my most practical shoe choice for the winter months, and frankly, I'm tired of them.

3. That shirt that looks like a Burberry, is in fact a real Burberry. I know. I found this guy at a garage sale this last summer for a whopping $4.

Anecdote: Last night Cambria and I were discussing our mutual love for Burberry (cologne, trench coats, scarves, button downs...) and she blurts out how one day she plans on owning a real Burberry trench coat one day, and when she does, she won't ever want to wear anything but her trench coat. Not even clothing (which is good, because she probably wouldn't be able to afford anything else!).
I'm mostly sure she was teasing...but one cannot be too certain. ;)

4. Did you see those vintage pictures from the last couple days?? Such a fun shoot! Cambria and I have such a fun time doing those...it's another form of acting for us...although the real reason we love it, is that we love any chance to play dress up! :)
Just want to throw out another shout out to my dearest friend Ellie(an avid reader of TFT, hi there honey!) (check out her blog here ) and read this post about her, just for kicks... here)

5. I JUST REALIZED THAT TODAY IS TWO FOR TEA'S ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY!!! WHOA.
A year ago we made this blog as an amusing thing to play with and another reason to procrastinate on our homework. Our first post wasn't even an outfit post check it out) and our first outfit post was...well, embarrassing. first post!) awkward. We quickly fell in love with posting and it has been such a fun thing for the two of us do together! And to think! Other people want to read it as well! Thank you so much for following and reading, you guys rock! :)
Anyways, Happy Birthday Two For Tea! Should be interesting to see where this next year takes us... stay tuned! :)

Speaking of birthdays...mine is just around the corner! I'm a Valentines baby, which is, in my opinion, the best holiday to have a birthday on (also, I share it with my fabulous grandma Dee-Dee) :)

Any ideas on how I should celebrate? (It's my 21st, but no drinking, please) :)

Love,
Jessica
