I am in love with this skirt...I have already worn in three times in the 30 for 30, and I've never regreted a wear :) I admit that this outfit is a SLIGHT cop-out. Almost every time I wear the skirt, I end up putting it with tights/boots/solid shirt/scarf combo. I ought to be infinitely more original!!!
In my defense, I DID want to wear it with a black vest I have...but that's not part of my 30 for 30 :( Any ideas on how I can wear this more "out of the box"??? I think I'm struggling just because it's so long and has some volume to it...

Ohhh, I love your updated layout! It's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love the skirt. It's very lovely and the colors are perfect.
I'm with Jen on the background, looks great! Have you thought about trying the skirt shorter (tuck the top part under the waistband, hold in in place with a belt between the two layers)? It easily changes the whole look!
ReplyDeleteyeah but I love that skirt.
ReplyDeleteSince you can't wear your vest you could try wearing your scarf belted in the front like Linley often does http://dwellingandtelling.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteWhat about hiking up the dress up high so it's a strapless dress, and then belting it?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the colors :)
hi ya.. I am new to your blog and love your color mixes.. and OH BOY I love this wedding dress you are having made.. it is gorgeous!! I am looking for ideas for mine as well, we havent set the date for our wedding yet but just doing that planning now...
ReplyDeleteanyway, am a fellow mixer and just thought I would come by and see what outfits you have going on over here!!!
happy mixing and I will be back to see what else you are putting together for wedding ideas!! when are you getting married?

I might change the length. But I love the colors of this and the rest of the outfit is great with it!

i am in love with that skirt! AND DONT CHANGE THE LENGTH! That would be vintage skirt molestation.
ReplyDeletethe skirt plus a white and thight v neck cotton shirt plus a long and light scarf cropped to your body by a thin pradesque patent belt in an acid color.
ReplyDeleteMary Janes and granny socks may complete it perfectly...
dontcha think?
devilish kisses...
You look great! and good for you doing the 30 for 30!

The skirt is very pretty; and you can still wear it with the vest during the 30 for 30 -- vests are accessories since you'd never wear them just on their own.
