Meet Wilbur, It's Indian Summer

From where I'm sitting in my apartment living room, I can hear the football game across the street. Pretty soon I'll be heading to Boyfriend's house in my AL Crimson Tide team shirt and jeans (plus red Keds--team colours, haha). I never thought I'd enjoy watching football and always SWORE I'd never wear a team shirt of any kind...but I've broadened my horizons :D I've learned to have a LOT of fun watching and now I'm semi-addicted myself. Plus, hanging out with the Boyfriend is always a deee-light!

But for the moment...here's what I'm wearing...something else I SWORE I would never touch. A maxi dress! I'm in a maxi dress! I don't think Jess quite approves because we've always said they are unflattering to practically anyone. But when I saw the colour palette and movement on this one, I just couldn't resist. It's sooooo comfy and makes me feel like a Bohemian princess or something :) Don't judge!

And finally--meet WILBUR <3 He is the little black cast-iron pig that will be appearing in blog posts this week. I've had him ever since I was a baby (gift from Grandpa) and he traveled with me to college. Now he's everybody's favourite roommate :)

Alas, only one picture today...dearest Boyfriend took a couple for me earlier today, but I accidentally deleted the other ones from my camera before I'd transferred them to my computer :( So very depressing! You will have to do with just this one shot for today!

I am quite proud of this outfit because it is 50% free...both the cream shirt underneath and the patterned brown tie-neck blouse were in a free bin at the end of school last year! The brown shirt is just Merona brand, but I love the big floppy tie around the keyhole neck...and the pattern is uber vintage and adorable <3

Wish I had the close-up of my feet!!! Grrr!!! These are darling little leather ankle boots with leather strings and leather weaving around the cuffs. The soles say "made in Brazil" and they look like they have some handwork on them. I got them from Goodwill for $4 :) What a steal...

What's the best deal you've ever gotten?

Lemon Drops and Gum Drops

Today pants seemed like a good idea to Jess and I. The weather is definitely fall now--you know that time of year when the air is cold, but the sun is still warm? Well that's exactly what it's like here in Minnesota :) I'm just very excited to have the colder weather! I pulled down my winter clothes from the closet this afternoon and put them in my closet, feeling so happy to see them all again. I just love that during the winter I can layer--cardigans, belts, dresses, tights, just the excitement of endless possible combinations!

What do you think is this season's most essential article of clothing?

A Title...Not a Status.

Greetings!
Welp. I think it is safe to say that our dear friend, Autumn, has arrived. In full force too! Fall is one of the most beautiful times in the Midwest, and unfortunately, it is one of the shortest seasons. sigh.
In other news, all I want to wear this season is, Navy Blue, Red, Camel, Chocolate, Black and Grey. That is the gist of my fall/winter wardrobe. So get ready to see that palate and lots of it... Also. I think I will post a picture of me in my Caribou Coffee uniform, because in all, heartbreaking, reality, THAT is my fall/winter wardrobe.
*heavy sigh*
Oh, so about this outfit.
I love it.
No really...it's true. I do. :) We took these pictures yesterday after tea and the truth is...I wore that blue skirt two days in a row. *Horrified GASP*
Yes. I, Jessica of Two for Tea, am an outfit repeater. I'm over it...are you? ;)
Good.
So...
I just love this skirt so much! It's from H&M and has pockets. Feel free to swoon and run out to buy one yourself. (like Cambria did...her's is tan!)
And these boots! Yes. They are nice...very nice. :) No other words needed.

Love,
Jess
P.S. The proof is in the pictures... I love trees. And I love to hug them. :)

Two for Tea has Tea at Two!!!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen *dramatic pause*...you read that correctly...your friendly bloggers at Two for Tea had tea at two o' clock today :D Our lovely blogging companion, Miss Shasta from The Travelling Cabinet, invited us to her abode for scones and tea with milk this afternoon. Oh happy day of workers' solidarity!

The scones were oh-so-delicious orange and cranberry, made with heaps of cream and butter :) Shasta shared her European teas with us (Jess had lemon and myrtle and I had pear) and we chatted merrily away over our steaming cups. It worked out quite nicely, what with today's temperature drop...dear heavens, but it was chilly!

We finished of the afternoon with an hour of thrifting, then sadly parted ways so Jess could have dinner with her family and I could finish my mounds of homework. Speaking of which--I need prayer because it's completely overwhelming :P

Anywho, dashing off to bed so I can be up for my history thesis class bright and early! Bunches of love <3
